The UCWHT is self guided water trail for kayakers to enjoy.
5/2021 we are happy to hear of a livery serving kayak with rentals in town. Contact J & J kayaks, owned by Jared and Jessica Dow. They are located at 407 S. Broadway St, Union City, MI 49094 Jared: 517 317-4471, and Jessica: 517 444-1611.
There is also a rental business in Girard, abut 8 miles away and they will let you take their kayaks to these rivers but you have to transport them. Here is their information as if 8/2019. “We rent the kayaks for 25.00 a day, that includes a paddle, a lifejacket and a cushion. They pick them up here and drop them off here. If they pick them up later in the day and keep them overnight that’s fine. I have a trailer, if they rent all 8 of them I don’t charge for use of it. I would deliver on an individual basis for a larger group. Phone 260-667-8311.”
